From Rolex to Jersey Fresh

Coming straight off a great week at Rolex, we’re now headed to Jersey Fresh to support HQ Riders Buck Davidson and Caroline Martin as they take on the cross country course tomorrow. Here’s to hoping the weather holds up, and all the riders do well. The course is beautiful, and the Horse Quencher team will be out there taking pictures and cheering on the riders. We’re also sponsoring a jump so come find us at fence 14B (on the 2* course) / fence 20B (on the 3* course). We’d love to hear from you on how you use Horse Quencher, so stop by and say hi!

And in case you didn’t know, Horse Quencher is actually based out of New Jersey. Both our owner/founder and our digital marketer call the Garden State home, so we’re doubly excited to be sponsoring a jump and getting to see the riders tackle cross country in our home state. There’s a lot more to New Jersey than the Turnpike and Parkway, by the way. Our state animal is also the horse, officially stated as “Equus caballus, so designated in Chapter 173 of the Laws of 1977. Governor Brendan T. Byrne signed the law August 14, 1977, while attending the farm and horse show at Augusta, Sussex County.” We’ve been told that we have more horses per square mile than any other state in the nation. And we bet you didn’t know that we even have an official dance – the square dance! Yup, we’re more country than you may think. We’re also known for blueberries (our state fruit) and honeybees (just ask Nancy of Horse Quencher and she will tell you!). No, our state insect is not the mosquito…very funny. The honeybees not only make great honey, but are wonderful for our environment as well. Find out more interesting NJ facts here: http://www.state.nj.us/nj/about/facts/.

So there you have it, more about the great state of New Jersey, home of Horse Quencher, and the Jersey Fresh International Event. We hope to see you on course tomorrow!

Rolex Wrap Up

Wow, what a whirlwind weekend. From moving dressage performances to breath catching moments on the cross country course, to a down to the wire (or penalty, rather) show jumping day that had everyone cheering, this Rolex was simply amazing. As a part of the Horse Quencher team, we were thrilled to be there, and big thanks to Thornhill for giving us space in front of their tent. Friday’s rain didn’t last long, and the beautiful weather that came through for the rest of Rolex made for an incredible weekend.

Big cheers to the Horse Quencher riders, Buck Davidson and Hawley Bennett, who both had fantastic outings. Buck finished 3rd on Ballynoe Castle RM and Hawley Bennett and Gin and Juice (an avid Root Beer Horse Quencher fan) landed in 16th after a lightning fast jumping round that saw 8 faults.  However, everything going on in the ring was just a part of the great happenings at Rolex. Below, we’ve got a recap of Horse Quencher’s week at Rolex in pictures for you to enjoy.

Sorry you missed out on the fun? No worries, we’re always out and about. Come find us at the Jersey Fresh CIC**/CCI*** on the cross country course Saturday, May 10th!

Rolex Day 2

Or day 1 for us, since we traveled in on Thursday and didn’t get here until after the show had wrapped for the day…

We’re here at Rolex, and after the dressage scores, things are going really well. There were some squalls of bad weather that pelted us with rain, but overall the show went well, there was a ton of people around, and we got to talk to a lot of people about Horse Quencher and let them know what it was and how it works. In addition to all of that, the cross country course was opened and getting to see some of the jumps up close and personal was quite impressive (and intimidating)! There are a lot of corners, tough questions, and hard rides, and we’re excited to see how things shake down tomorrow.

Jump 12A-B will definitely be one to watch!

Today was filled with great moments even despite the rain. The water complex certainly looks great, the dressage rounds all went well, and even with some wind and chillier than usual temperatures, and cheers to our riders, Hawley Bennett and Buck Davidson on successful days, and congrats to all the riders, and to the beautiful ride Allison Springer turned in on Arthur to hold the current lead! Tomorrow is cross country, and we all know that out there, more than anywhere, anything can (and will) happen. So we plan on being out on the cross country course to watch!

If you missed us at the Thornhill booth today, you can stop by there tomorrow, or find Nancy of Horse Quencher and find out more how we’re helping our riders’ horses stay hydrated, and how we can help your horse, too. Have a great night, and see  you on cross country tomorrow. And don’t forget to stop by Horse Quencher at Thornhill right outside the trade fair building Sunday morning at 9:30AM after the jog for a chance to meet Hawley Bennett!

Horse Quencher rider Hawley Bennett will be at the HQ booth at the Thornhill Sunday morning after the jog.

Are You Ready for Rolex?

It’s the biggest event in the United States, and an international gathering of horse people. From competitors to owners, riders to fans, friends and family, Rolex is the quintessential place to be if you’re a horse person (especially one that loves eventing). This year, Horse Quencher is excited to announce that we will be there, and you can come meet us and Horse Quencher ambassador, Hawley Bennet, rider of Gin & Juice, on Sunday at the Thornhill tent #102 after the jog.

We will be at the event from Friday through Sunday, and are looking forward to being there! We’re so excited, that we haven’t even had time to pack (yet), though we’ve already planned our course walk, and a picnic lunch for Saturday. So if you will be at Rolex, stop by on Sunday, or look for us throughout the grounds from Friday on and say hi.

And for all of our Horse Quencher fans at Rolex, send us your pictures from the event and we may even feature your photo with your credits on one of our upcoming blogs! We wish the best of luck to our ambassadors, Buck Davidson and Hawley Bennett. We will be blogging from the road as much as we can, so check back and follow us on Facebook for the latest news from the Horse Quencher team at #RK3DE!
